The Prioritizer – guides you through the process of listing all of your obligations, tasks, etc. and helping you figure out which is the highest priority, when you should do each, how much time to give to each, and perhaps which ones you should give up.

The Random Cuckoo Clock – at appropriate times, something pops out to announce the time. But it is always something different, always a surprise, and the way the time is announced is always different and a surprise.

The Hypnotizer – hypnotizes you, gives you the auto suggestion of your choice, and then wakes you up with the appropriate time.

The Last Message App – guides you through the process of creating a last message for friends and loves ones and then stores them for you and then encourages you to actually give that last message, now, while you’re alive and while they can appreciate you and you can appreciate them.

Father Rabbit says at eight.

“Time for breakfast, bunnies dear.

The sun is up and morning’s here… way too soon.”

Faces washed until they shine,

Bunnies dress themselves at nine.

Brush their teeth and do their chores,

Making beds and sweeping floors… covered with dead cockroaches.

Brooms are put away, and then,

Bunnies go outside at ten

To help their father plant some seeds,

Water flowers, pull up weeds… and flowers, and vegetable plants.

Bunnies bustle, and, thank heaven,

All is tidy by eleven.

Chores need doing every day,

But now the bunnies get to play… in the cold, dark, cobwebbed basement.

Bunnies will be hungry soon.

Picnic’s spread at twelve–that’s noon.

Fruit and sandwich taste so good.

“Who would like some more?”  “I would… not!  It’s disgusting!”

“Ready? Set? Now bunnies run!”

Mother Rabbit says at one.

“Race and chase and bounce a bit.

That will keep my bunnies fit… to be tied.”

A little rest is good for you.

It’s time for bunny naps at two.

All around the house we see

Bunnies resting peacefully… thanks to the sedatives.

“Who will take a walk with me?”

Mother Rabbit says at three.

Lots of little bunny feet

Go out the door and down the street… right into the path of the truck.

Pull the paper from the drawer,

Artists go to work at four.

Pens and crayons, scissors, tape–

Bunny art is taking shape… pretty bad shape.

Hungry bunnies all arrive

At the dining room at five,

Set the table, take a seat,

Put their napkins on, and eat… cockroaches.

Every Bunny quickly picks

One last game to play at six:

Hide-and-seek or steal the flag,

Jacks or marbles, swings or tag… or burglarize the neighbors.

Bunnies think that books are heaven.

Story time begins at seven.

One book, two books, three books, four.

“Please, please, Father, read some more… or you will never see the baby again!”

“Bunnies, it is getting late,”

Mother Rabbit says at eight.

“Into bed.  Turn off the light.

Sleep well, bunnies dear.  Good night…. sleep tight.  Oh, there’s a bedbug!”

I know you want to give your mom

A big sloppy kiss!  But…

Don’t kiss your mom!

Oh no, did you kiss your mom?

Maybe you didn’t understand.

If you kiss your mom, she’ll give you a big hug, like this.

And she’ll give you a big sloppy kiss, like this.

You mean you like that?

Well let me give you another reason not to kiss your mom.

Because if you do, you’ll turn into…

A kangaroo!

So DON’T KISS YOUR MOM!

You did?  You kissed your mom anyway?  Oh dear.

Are you turning into a kangaroo?  Check and see.  Do you have a pocket?

You do?

Can you hop?

You can? Uh-oh!

Do you have big feet?

You do?  Oh no!

You’ve turned into a kangaroo!

Oh well.  Since you’re already a kangaroo, go ahead.

Kiss your mom!

(Illustration note: although there might seem to be few illustration possibilities, given that this story consists of one person talking to the reader, I imagine several fun possibilities, which I would be happy to discuss.  But I would rather the illustrator have the first shot at illustration ideas. If the text works, I know that the illustrations could also be delightful.)

(Second illustration note: if having the kid turn into a different animal would make the story more fun, that would be easy to do.)

I am intrigued by how we, the audience, are so carried away by the illusion, that we willingly ignore the obvious artificiality of it.
